Man in the moon necklace.

A delightful Man in the Moon pendant  adorned with a large rainbow moonstone carved with a pleasant, smiling face on the front. It has  luminescent glow that moves across the surface of the stone.

This 18 mm diameter  glowing rainbow moonstone  is carved by best artisans - my partners.  The moon is  beautifully set in sterling silver pendant, 3 natural cubic zirconia stones add a bohemian touch.

Carvings of Man in the Moon were seen in Georgian jewelry but not until the late 1800's-early 1900's did they become so popular...and have remained highly coveted. The moon is considered feminine and the motif "man in the moon" is intended to show feminine empowerment. The moon is ever changing to our view yet constant. That is the reason the motif became so widely used when women were becoming "empowered".
